QW2022/Requirements

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Overview of this process[edit]

As part of preparing a proposal for the 2022 Wikimedia LGBTQ conference (Queering Wikipedia 2022), we are running open Zoom sessions to hear and collect user requirements and expectations for it. The focus is on the "what" rather than the "how". This will help create a Requirements Statement for the conference that the proposal has to deliver on.

YOUR views are welcome on topics like what 'international engagement' and 'reaching out to minority voices' looks like, what the scale of the conference could be in terms of participants, presenters and training, what virtual engagement might be like this time, what special support needs could be planned for, and what languages need to be included.

Sessions running for 50 minutes are planned for Sunday 4 July 11am UTC and Thursday 8 July 8pm UTC, refer to QW2022/Requirements for timezone conversion and zoom links.

First zoom session
Sunday 4 July 10am UTC convert time (CET 12:00 EST 06:00 Bangladesh 16:00)
Second zoom session
Thursday 8 July 7pm UTC convert time (CEST 21:00 EST 15:00 PDT 12:00)

(Zoom sessions are completed, the next stage will be publishing the spec on meta, shortly!)

For the requirements specification refer to QW2022/Requirements/Specification.
