Reading Wikipedia in the Classroom Kaduna

Introduction[edit]

Reading wikipedia in the class room in kaduna is as a result of the importance of digital materials available for teachers. This Project will train teachers in Kaduna metropolis on the use of wikipedia to access, retrieve and use information as open educational resources (OER) which is supported by UNESCO media and information literacy framework. This project will further assist teachers to have alternative studies materials which will bring qualify learning and effective teaching. The project will bring teachers and students to appreciate digital literacy skill for better tomorrow.

Project Goals[edit]

1. To create awareness among 20 teachers in Kaduna on the effective use of Wikipedia as a learning tools for retrieving, creating and evaluating information.

2. The teachers enrolled in the project will understand, access, retrieved and effectively integrate the lessons learned into the classroom activities.

3.The teachers upon completion will received certificate of completion and foster media and information literacy using Wikipedia.
