This section contains a detailed description of all three (3) reports prepared for the first implementation of the Reading Wikipedia in the Classroom Program Nigeria 2022. The outline of the reports are as follows:

  1. Needs assessment and planning outcomes
  2. Mid-project monitoring report
  3. Final evaluation report

Needs assessment and planning report:

The Reading Wikipedia in the Classroom program in Kwara State secured partnerships, recommendations, and approval for the commencement of the local implementation from key stakeholders in the Education sector within and outside Kwara State.   • Details of outreach activities

The project started planning by meeting with the implementation team members; Bukola James, the Lead Trainer for the implementation in Kwara State, the communication expert, and co-trainers to discuss the project objectives, and goals as well as how to begin proper planning for the implementation.More details about the outreach activities can be found here

Mid-project monitoring report:

  • Number of teachers registered: 75 from 54 Junior and Senior Secondary Schools in Kwara State
  • Number of teachers actively participating : 62 and 71 on the outreach dashboard

  • Summary of progress toward project outcomes: At the implementation of this project, we held our first physical training on the 9th of June with 63 teachers in attendance, 4 resource persons, 6 monitoring teams from the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development Kwara, Mr. Odedeji Taiye Desk Officer UNESCO Associated School Network , Representative of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development Kwara, Alhaja Giddado of the Teaching Service Commission Kwara State, and Alhaji Idiagbon, Adebimpe A. Director of Quality Assurance Department, Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board and other stakeholders in the Education sector in Kwara State. More updates about the progress can be found here

    outstanding circumstances that may prevent the project from achieving its outcomes. Despite the project's success, we encountered the following challenges as well as lessons learned during its implementation which can be ;found here
