RFC statement by WhiteWriter [edit]

Great number of newspapers published that singer Kemal Monteno died. Among other, i added that info on bs.wiki, just in form of a date. User:Palapa reverted that. And i added back, with edit summary: "Unfortunatly, it is true + reference". We had small talk page discussion that i should add reference about crucial information, which i did. I received notice about vandalism from the same user, and send 3 more sources about the same death on his talkpage. About that time, i searched google again, and find out that person in question is actually alive and that this info was actually false. In the same time, all news references where deleted by editorial. I told that to him, but he responded that "one news is expecting me". I was blocked by same user for 6 month, without talk page or e-mail access, as a first block on bs project. As i cannot do anything on bs, i am asking for an unblock here. He told me "Once again something like this will be followed by block of some time", but the he blocked me anyway, although i didn't even edited article after that. Admin was involved and reason is obviously non existent, so i am asking for a unblock. --WhiteWriter speaks 21:04, 10 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Blocks are a local issue for each wiki, there is no overriding authority at meta that can or will unblock you at a local wiki. Stewards definitely don't have that right. Best you can do is to find another admin from the local wiki and start a conversation with them about how the matter may be able to be resolved in a shorter time period. I would advise that it would be better to let go of the issue that caused the block, and just determine to work on other articles if the issue can be resolved. — billinghurst sDrewth 01:34, 11 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I know that, but you can give your opinion about the block anyway. --WhiteWriter speaks 09:29, 11 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Will take a look at the matter and lift the block if needed. Just calm down, looks like overreaction in my eyes, but dunno nothing about backgrounds. I will contact the blocking sysop. --WizardOfOz talk 08:39, 13 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • I am admin who blocked WhiteWriter. This is explanation, why I done that. First and only reason, why I made that is because I assumed putting a false news from minor web sites, as attack on BS wiki, as a small wiki. User who made a such serious rule violation (proclaim that someone is dead) have to explain, why he did it? Who can accept explanation: "someone did it (wrote a news), and I just rewrited it". It will be a good for BS wiki community to make a final statement in this case.--Palapa (talk) 09:51, 13 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
"one news is expecting me": see time, 21.52 when it is written. I have waited a news from official radio station in 22.00, for confirmation, what is happening with Kemal.--Palapa (talk) 10:02, 13 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Think that allowing of talk page access will be the good way to handle this locally. --WizardOfOz talk 11:34, 13 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Done per WizardOfOz suggestion.--Palapa (talk) 22:19, 13 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
But its still not done. My talk page is still blocked. And this was definitivly not personal attack toward small wiki, but per fact that information about his death was placed on 10+ balkan news service websites. I added that news on several wikis where i am active and semi-active, as that can be seen from global contributions... I am open for any admin suggestion that can follow block lifting. --WhiteWriter speaks 15:44, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Block from talking page lifted. It is good to know, that, you are one who hurry to put on wikies a news from sites whose lacks professionalism.--Palapa (talk) 21:14, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No, thats not true, again. 10+ references are more then enough for any logical conclusion. I am waiting for you, Palapa, on my talk page, to solve this question. --WhiteWriter speaks 16:05, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Think that this can be closed as solved locally. If I´m not wrong, block is going to be lifted in few hours. --WizardOfOz talk 19:32, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
