I've contributed the greatest amount of the almost 1380 Sesotho words found on the wiktionary, see: http://st.wiktionary.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Jakoli4 and (with previous username): http://st.wiktionary.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Sesotho.web.za

There are some untranslated words and phrases in the environment that needs to be completed and there doesn't seem to be any administrators for it available.

I am very sorry, the request slipped through, partly due to a week of being offline due to vacation, partly because of being busy with several other editing tasks. But now I have made those three requested user to bureaucrat. Actually, I never intended to get bureaucrat access on th-wiki, it was apparently given by accident. I became sysop on th: to help this wiki in its infancy - but now rarely use the sysop powers as there are several Thai language admins. Ahoerstemeier 21:25, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

hu.wiktionary

Please grant bureaucrat access (no matter whether or not it has been set) on hungarian wiktionary. We need to operate, and there are usually only a few people working (wiktionary is not a very useful project, but anyway), right now Antissimo who voted and me, who usually do the admin stuff. There was no vote against me in the last 3 years. ;-) [I re-voted myself just to make it unambiguous that the request still holds.] I'm already admin and my uid is 3, so I really happen to be around for quite a time. ;-) By the way I'm bureaucrat on most of the Hungarian wikimedia projects (apart other rights which I do not need on hu.wikt right now). I'm not regularly monitor this page so if you need any further info be so kind as to use email (through any of the wikimedia projects I'm active).

This request was already put up and somehow put away, see /Archives/2007/08#hu.wiktionary. Please act as if there was no request before, as I do not remember what was back then (and I left the project for a while due to some serious disagreement with the working member of that era, but hopefully he's not active there anymore). It's possible that the right wasn't even set. Not important now.

Not done First of all I think that the vote is weird with votes from 2004. Furthermore, only two votes actually, which is not sufficient to gather bureaucrat status. I don't think so. Are you suggesting that the ID requirement should be fulfilled prior to the grant of stewardship? From the Q&A phase of the community review on his candicacy (request for CheckUser permission), it is rather clear that he is aware of the policy and intends to follow it. To request the removal of another user's status, you must gain consensus on the local wiki first. All discussion must be kept on your local wiki. When there is community consensus that the user's access should be removed, a trusted person from that wiki should provide a link here to the discussion, a very brief explanation of the reason for the request, and summarize the results of discussion.

Removal of sysop rights of Steinninn and Ic201. These two sysops got into strong arguments over special:upload as well as the look of the homepage. With the results of the community voting that they be removed of sysop access for bad behavior. 4 voted for the removal and 2 against the rights removal. The community has not set up any rules of how many have to be against and how many for removal of rights, and in these cases I would say that the majority should decide. The vote started 6 days ago and has not had any activity for 5 days.

I'd like to give back my oversight permission, we don't need it anymore.

We used it very rare and more or less for "old cases".

At the moment I'm the only user with that permission at de.wikibooks at that's not a good situation for such a powerful function.

When we need to delete a page with oversight we can requested as discribed on Hiding revisions. (To that time I get the permission this way wasn't available, because the extension wasn't installed.)

You really should contact the local MediaWiki bureaucrats. "Import" group is not given out lightly, it allows for users to upload from files too, which can cause collateral damage. It's best to just ask the local 'crats (they'll normally give them out if you help here & are trusted), they should also weigh-in to this if they think this it the best route.
