How do we get the height of the page in device-independent pixels?[edit]

Since we're dealing with text that flows and wraps, wouldn't the height of the page be affected by the width of the screen? - MPopov (WMF) (talk) 00:25, 24 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This is true. The total height of the page is also subject to the user's preference of font size. I'm not sure we've actually used the page-height parameter in any analyses, but I believe the intention was just a quick way to estimate how much more likely the user is to use the find-in=page feature if the text is relatively long, vs. relatively short.
