Reason[edit]
It was my longterm goal to translate science and technology knowledge base in wikipedia into Tamil language. I had contributed on Knol platform in Google before but unfortunately that project has been shelved. There is a dearth of information in Tamil language on updated and recent research in Science and Technology. I want to contribute on this in the long term. A chrome based laptop and Internet will help me with starting a unit for knowledge dissemination in the near future which I would like to also scale up as a non profit Indic language digital knowledge entity.
Future activities[edit]
I would add to the compendium of articles in Tamil Language Indology and literature. I have a list of wikipedia articles in Science and Technology that I would want to translate into Tamil language. I would also use the laptop as a means to teach others on how they could contribute to the vast digital knowledge base.
