Talk:Association of Antiovertranswikist Wikimedians

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

I disagree with the implication that OR and POV are undesirable in Wikibooks and Wikiversity and that making transwiki less accessible is a useful way to prevent this. There are contexts where originality and a subjective point of view are desirable. I expect them in certain (physical) books and (brick and mortar) university courses; by analogy one expects that there will be some in the Wiki analogs. I'm aware that there are books, etc. where these are inappropriate and agree that it's desirable to go along with a given wiki's policy, I just believe that the choice of whether the circumlocutions necessary to avoid a particular OR or POV enhance or detract from he value of the content.
