Granting bureaucrats the technical ability to remove the admin flag

We have discussed same ability in Ru-Wiki and supported it. Can smb suggest where on Meta or other project we must ask to turn it on? Alex Spade 14:54, 5 August 2011 (UTC)

2x oversight?

On some wikis there are two different lines both showing "oversight" ... why? a×p_de ^Hello! 19:28, 13 August 2011 (UTC)

On testwiki (at least) there are two user groups: oversights and oversighters. The latter is the group implemented on all WMF wikis. The former is a more limited group, allowing members to suppress edits, usernames, and view the suppression log. It doesn't have any of the abusefilter rights or the deleterevision right given to admins. It isn't used and I'm not sure why it's there, though! PeterSymonds (talk) 19:32, 13 August 2011 (UTC)

Sysop and bureaucrat rights removals
