Talk:Bureaucrat/Removal for inactivity on small wiki

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

This is completely pointless: if the problem is lack of active bureaucrats, you don't need to remove inactive bureaucrats, but to gain some active bureauucrats. And if the problem is steward policy and you think that 30 days of inactivity is enough to remove a bureaucrat (well, I'd say one or two years could be enough, even if I prefer not to remove bits for inactivity), just fix the steward policy and define when a 'crat is considered inactive. --Nemo 22:44, 29 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Leaving inactive flags for long time may increase the risk of security breach in case the password is ever cracked. This also applies to deceased users, so security reasons prevent me from accepting your claim of pointlessness. Security is everyone's business, please.--Jusjih (talk) 21:14, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
