Differences with GLAM-Wiki

[edit]

What are the differences between Content Partnerships Hub and https://outreach.wikimedia.org/wiki/GLAM?

Thanks. Olea (talk) 12:51, 7 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Sorry for the slow reply, @Olea! Winter holidays came in the way.
The Content Partnerships Hub is an initiative for a hub focusing on content partnerships, such as GLAMs. The aim is to support more affiliates and volunteers in working with content partners, and build capacity in the movement for this work as well.
GLAM Wiki is a fantastic resource and GLAM Wikimedians are making a fantastic work. In the needs assessment we have done, many point however towards more need for support and capacity building. The exact relationship between the GLAM Wiki community and the content partnerships hub, if the initiative becomes formalized, is something we have to work out ahead. DHWiki DARIAH working group

[edit]

Among DARIAH - the digital infrastructure for arts and humanities - there is a working group called DHWiki (digital humanities Wiki) with a focus on Wikidata and Wikibase and the involvement of researchers, cultural research data and data from GLAMs. Here is the description https://www.dariah.eu/activities/working-groups/dhwiki/

I am a member of the working group and I think there are great synergies with the Content Partnerships Hub and with the WikiGLAM work. To foster exchange of best practices and collaboration, it would be really nice to include the DHWiki group in the Content Partnerships Hub. What do you think? possible?

With the DHWiki group, we are currently working on a project proposal and it would be nice to have a partnership with the Content Partnerships Hub. Maybe a simple and nice first step to start the cooperation.

thanks and my best regards, iopensa (talk) 09:18, 27 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
