Replacing the text after the change[edit]

Hi,
Few minutes ago I made a change in the Hebrew banner since it looks horrible - the sentence is cut in the middle and it seems quite as if amateurs worked on it. This is the banner showed during this all day and the sooner the change takes effect the better. How long is it going to take till I see the banner with the change and is there a way to expedite it? Hi, Ldorfman. You removed the %AMOUNT% part, which is a rather important part of the banner. Could you please insert it at the right place? Meanwhile, I've disabled the baner from the Israeli campaign, till this is sorted out. Jon Harald Søby (WMF) 13:55, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The problem is that even without the amount asked, the sentence is too long to fit the width of the banner's white part. Therefore, I assumed that even without the amount of money, as long as the readers can see the whole sentence, it will fit. Till you disabled the banner, it looked like that: "If everyone reading this donated 25NIS, " (including the comma) and then a second line: "Please donate to keep Wikipedia free." (what made no sense grammatically and reasonably). What do you think? Is it really that important to have it translated exactly in this case? I'll wait for your instructions. The banner is supposed to be three lines, not two as it was, so the length shouldn't be a problem in that case. Why it was only showing two lines I don't know, but if you put in the string in we can do some testing to figure it out. Jon Harald Søby (WMF) 14:17, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Put back the string. Do you now need my help in testing it? Ldorfman 14:28, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! Does this look correct now? [1]
I think the mistake was that %AMOUNT% messed up the RTL, making it appear in the wrong order, so the wrong parts of the message were copied. I think the way that looks now should be correct. Jon Harald Søby (WMF) 14:31, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Now it is fine grammatically, but only the first two lines appear. There's no third line ("Please donate to keep Wikipedia free."). I can live with that and you may enable this banner again, since the message is clear now, at least in my opinion. Ldorfman 14:37, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I was mistaken; an earlier draft had three lines, while the one running currently only has two. The rest may be used in later banners. Since it looks good now I'll put it in again. Thanks for all your help!! Jon Harald Søby (WMF) 14:41, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much!Thank you very much! Ldorfman 14:51, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
