Clean up[edit]

Could someone please clean this up a bit, maybe split this between the whole-hearted supporters, the conditional supporters, and the opposers? - LA @ 06:16, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, yeah, ideally this would have been more "discussion"y and there wouldn't be the problem. But at the moment I think consensus is pretty clear however formatted. Of course you're welcome to change it around if it confuses you - others will just revert if they disagree with the new format. —Giggy 06:21, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
First off, if I mistook any intentions/thoughts/opinions on the page while refactoring, please feel free to move your name to a more appropriate section.
Second, just taking a rough count, there about 45 in support in some fashion, and about 10 in opposition in some fashion also. The supports are about evenly split between "straight support" and "support with official logging", with a handful with other minor conditions in support. Obviously, not a poll, but I'd say 80%+ in support of the removal of the NPL rule means that the rule should be removed. The opposes, especially Wimt, bring up a good point about the private information that is spilled (wp-en-admins and otrs, among others), and so I think only having #wikipedia and #wp-en removing the rule is probably most appropriate. Others may of course disagree with me. --Izno 06:47, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
