Formatting your cohort CSV file

[edit]

When your cohort usernames contain complex character or scripts, sometimes there can be an error from the character set you used to save the file. I've noticed that a good workaround if you're having trouble with complex characters and not sure about what character set to use, making a simple spreadsheet on Google Drive and then downloading it as a CSV seems to do the trick. Default project

[edit]

On Programs:Evaluation portal/Learning modules/1Set Default Project it says: "If no project code is specified, the system will default to enwiki." However, this seem to be a mandatory field now. --Ainali (talk) 07:56, 5 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi Ainali! Thank you for the feedback! This is now fixed. EGalvez (WMF) (talk) 22:04, 12 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

csv output

[edit]

When I get the csv, with the same usernames over several projects, there is no way to see which row is which project. Can that column be added? --Ainali (talk) 08:28, 5 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi Ainali - I believe you are referring to "namespaces" not "projects" but please correct me if I am wrong. As of now, namespace data is aggregated as one data point. I think this would be a great question for you to ask the developers on the wikimetrics@lists.wikimedia.org to see if output that displays each namespace can be added to the output. Thanks! Active users

[edit]

When a regular active user is part from a Cohort but he/she edits other articles not related with the event/program during programme calendar (1 month, e.g) -> how can we deal with it? E.g > A heavy user edits daily but he is also part from an editathon team cohort for 1 week. -> How can we separate edits related with the program with the ones that are not? Thanks in advance!--Kippelboy (talk) 12:08, 20 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
