Avoiding registration everytime for regular attendees?

[edit]

Hi, thanks for organizing these sessions. I believe that you will be continuing these for several months in the future. I am wondering if it is possible to have one-time registration for people who wish to attend all the sessions (as much as possible). I understand registration is to avoid spam and things like zoom-bombing. But if you are able to identify Wikimedians and their usernames, I think one-time registration is feasible. Maybe you can directly share a calendar invite with them along with meeting details in the description. While it's not a problem to fill the form every time, it can be made simpler :) KCVelaga (talk) 15:12, 10 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • Hello KCVelaga, thanks for the suggestion. The tricky part is identifying such users. Not everyone will be interested in all type of sessions, nor can make time on specific dates. And, yes as you have noted, we are trying to avoid Zoombombing. Possibly we can start one-time registration in near future. If we start such a registration, we'll make it clear that they will get invitation directly in future unless they unsubsribe (or something of that sort).
