The elephant in the room needs to be named for what it is[edit]

Nice effort overall, and although I understand the need to be broad, it probably wouldn't hurt to say that half the world's population is offline and that there will need to be some work done in that direction (the important word here is offline). Q2-1 seems to restrict knowledge access to Internet users, which goes head on against the concept of knowledge equity. Anyone should have access to knowledge: if they don't have access to internet, that's a separate issue.

Then again this page hasn't been edited in four months and I'm the first to discuss it: I can't tell if my comment is still relevant or if another, more recent version is available elsewhere. This whole process is incredibly byzantine. Stephane (talk) 10:55, 27 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi @The other Kiwix guy: - so over the last couple of months all the recommendations have been synthesised into one "meta recommendation" which will be posted for feedback, fairly soon (I believe sometime this month). Probably worth looking to see if your point still applies to this next document, as I think it's a valuable point. Thanks, Chris Keating (The Land) (talk) 15:43, 5 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
