November 2019 bans
I see there was a flurry of (presumably uncontroversial) bans in the last month or so, mostly targeting users who had already been blocked or locked for a while, sometimes inactive for years. I know people can sometimes continue being severely abusive for years after being banned (I know one who's haunting people in conferences and doxing wikimedians), but I suppose they didn't all start at once. Is the team going through some sort of backlog? Or did it receive a sudden increase in reports, possibly due to the increased publicity of the global ban instruments?
