Why Wikipedia is so copyleft? why don't you change it to CC-BY? (future edits). When separated, new edits would fall under cc-by... Why don't you recommend less-restrictive licenses like PD, CC-BY, etc for media and you recommend CC_BY_SA and GFDL? Why are you behaving more GNU-ish than Neutral communities like BSD's? 14:27, 12 March 2012 (UTC)

Wikimedia projects like to be viral. The switch to CC-BY-SA was controversial enough because it wasn't considered viral enough, see all the License update related discussions. Nemo 14:56, 12 March 2012 (UTC)
