1987 Munich decision[edit]

Why is the older decision concerning stamps not at all mentioned? In 1987, the Landgericht München ruled that stamps are official works (LG München, Urteil v. 10.03.1987, Aktz.: 21 S 20861/86). Even if the Landgericht Berlin ruled differently, one should at least mention this older decision. --Rosenzweig (talk) 19:41, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[]

You're right. We should have addressed that and will add something shortly. Good point. Thanks. Geoffbrigham (talk) 21:02, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[]

Can someone help with the progress of commons:Commons:WikiProject Public Domain/German stamps review? There is also an official "howto" statement from the Deutsche Post: w:de:Wikipedia:Briefmarken#Deutsche Post --Trofobi (talk) 15:24, 3 June 2013 (UTC)[]

DDR Postage Stamps[edit]

How do the decisions relate to the postage stamps of the DDR? The 1987 decision predated reunification and much of the commentary on the Loriot decision does not seem immediately applicable to the DDR (e.g. the DDR post office was not a private Aktiengesellschaft like Deutsche Post AG; many DDR stamps had a clearly official purpose as propaganda).
