Hi, I'd suggest you rethink and perhaps reverse "The objective would be to introduce firms with significant marketing budgets to how Wikimania is a credible PR opportunity both for tech firms". Marketing people already know that subverting Wikipedia is a great opportunity for them, the challenge for us as a community is how we detect and block spammers more quickly, not how to make things easier for them. Sorry, misunderstanding here I think; we're not suggesting that Wikipedia is a great PR opportunity, but that Wikimania may be - i.e. if they sponsor the event, their involvement will be widely broadcast as the event will get a lot of press coverage.
