  • Article 14 Membership fee.

Just out of curiosity, is the monthly payment of membership fees a "normal" thing to do in Argentina?

  • Article 20: absolute majority of votes

Absolute majority of the people present? Or of the people who have a right to vote? For the record, the first one is easy to have, but brings the possibility of "take over" if the only people present are 3, the second is very hard to get. I would make up a quorum (like xx% of the members, minimum of 10 or something like this) for votes. But that's me :-)

That's all folks.

Those bylaws are (very) long, but very clear :-). The first articles do frame the relationship with Wikimedia Foundation and Wikimedia projects very clearly, so I'm good with that. The above comments are rather questions and warnings that will not prevent the chapters committee to agree on those bylaws. In short, as far as I am concerned, you're good to go. notafish }<';> 16:22, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your comments! About your concerns:
  • Article 14 - Membership fee: yes, is the normal thing to do here. But we encourage our members to pay the fee annually, it's a little amount of money and doing that way simplifies the treasurer's job.
  • Article 20 - Absolute majority of votes: absolute majority of the people present. You are right with your concerns, but I think you missed the article 18 :)
