Language

[edit]
  • Is there a generally accepted norm about your language (spelling, dictionary, pronunciation)?
    • Rusyn language has a dictionary. They are very differ from one another very much. Very difficult to write Wikipedia, because there are different options. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by KHMELNYTSKYIA (talk) 2017
    • The Rusyn language is pluricentric, with different norms by country. Varying Rusyn standards exist in Poland, Serbia, and Slovakia. Out of these, only the Slovak standard is represented on Wikipedia. Editors from Ukraine, where there is no standard Rusyn variety, have varying conventions. • How do you deal with different spellings, dialects etc. (like B.E. lift and A.E. elevator)?
    • Rusyn language has many language versions. It Presov, Lemko, Transcarpathian, boykivkyy, dolynyanskyy, Marmarosky, panonskyy, Hutsul dialects. They have many differences. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by KHMELNYTSKYIA (talk) 2017
    • It was initially agreed to accept any consistent article versions (as in Alemannic Wikipedia). Since there are so few editors, this has not been an issue. Engelseziekte (talk) 01:55, 29 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
