Prizes will be awarded by Wikimedia Sverige. The winners will be announced as soon as possible. If articles that have been written and nominated during the Challenge are in the Feature or GA article nomination process (or equivalent on your wiki) we will wait for the process to finalize. Please inform us about any nominations.
The prizes will be awarded to the Wikipedians who have verifiably made the best contributions in any language combination (see the rules and scoring system).
4th-10th: Wikipedia pencil, Wikipedia pin and Wikipedia decals.
The first 100 participants that get at least 7 points related to a world heritage in Sweden will get the book World heritage sites in Sweden. This prize is sponsored by the Swedish National Heritage Board.
The participant that gets most points related to a world heritage in Spain will get a book or video from an on-line shop related to World Heritage in Spain valued in circa 25 USD. This prize is sponsored by Wikimedia España.
18 April: What a start! Only 16 hours into the Challenge and we already have 22 participants and more than 33,000 bytes added. Welcome to all of you!
Hopefully the rest of the UNESCO images will be upload shortly. Until then, perhaps you can find some nice images from Syria to include in articles? Wikimedia Sverige and Wikimedia Italia worked together to upload many images from Palmyra and other World Heritage Sites in Syria through a partnership with two Italian GLAMs. You can find the images from GAR here and from DecARC here. 19 April: UNESCO have released over 1,400 images today to Wikimedia Commons which you can find here, including a category of images from Nubian Monuments from Abu Simbel to Philae here. John Cummings (talk) 20:05, 19 April 2017 (UTC)

24 April: We have created categories for the images of World Heritage sites made available by Associazione DecArch and Gruppo Archeologico Romano as part of the Connected Open Heritage Project, you are warmly encouraged to use them as part of the competition:
