| Introductory statement / Application summary (maximum 500 words): Tell us who you are, why you are applying, and your relevant experience. | I am Aishik Rehman, using the same username on Wikimedia Wikis. Since 2018, I have actively contributed to various Wikimedia projects, especially in Bengali, English, and other South Asian languages. You can check out my user page and CentralAuth to learn about my contributions.
I am interested in serving on the UCoC Coordinating Committee to uphold and improve the ethical standards of the Wikimedia community. My aim is to create and enforce policies that foster positive interactions and safeguard community well-being, as I believe a respectful and inclusive environment is crucial for the success of Wikimedia projects. As an admin and mentor on bn.wikipedia and bn.wiktionary, I have extensive experience in community governance and policy enforcement. I co-founded the Mymensingh Wikimedia Community to foster local Wikimedia communities. I have organized and coordinated WLWSA, WAM, WLC, WLMBD, FNF, WLF, #SheSaid, and the Movement Charter Ambassador Program for the Bengali Community, ensuring the movement's goals and values are upheld. I have successfully managed grants for significant projects and overseen micro-grants for WLM, ensuring efficient resource utilization. I am dedicated to working collaboratively to ensure the effective implementation and adherence to the UCoC, contributing to a safer and more welcoming Wikimedia community. |

- @Ghilt Due to the violent repression of student protesters in Bangladesh, the government shut down the Internet nationwide on July 18th. This disrupted access to Wikipedia and other sites. The internet connection has been restored today (*), and I have added my statement.
