| Introductory statement / Application summary (maximum 500 words): Tell us who you are, why you are applying, and your relevant experience. | As an active member of the Wikimedia community for several years, I quickly realized my desire to progress in the movement despite language barriers. Since becoming a volunteer, I've worked to ensure that the French-speaking region actively participates in the life of the movement by developing a synergy of actions.
My career at Wikimedia includes significant roles such as Wikimedia project coordinator, linguistic ambassador for the Wiki Loves Folklore campaign in French-speaking communities around the world and member of the MENA grant committee. In addition, I am the founder of Réseau @pprendre, a community dedicated to educational projects in French-speaking West Africa, for which we have applied to Affcom for recognition. I am motivated to apply for this special election organized by the coordinating committee to represent communities under-represented in decision-making bodies. My aim is to promote inclusion and break down language barriers within the movement. I'm excited to contribute to these goals and to continue the expansion and diversification of the Wikimedia movement. |
