One of the wikis I edit, Wikiquote, has been facing heavy sockpuppetry used in malicious manner. The Wikiquote community agrees and is sure that all accounts are controlled by one person. Many of these sockpuppeters are not really taken care of right away, since our only admins are not active enough to block the vandals. I would take on the job as sysop their and do the dirty work, but I have my own report.
Most (or nearly all) the vandals are coming from a user's thread website. For the past five or so years, vandals come and go from that website, and start vandalizing Wikiquote. One of their main reasons for staying their are to humiliate and attack a user. Well, it would be kinda incivil of me to point my finger, but I will just cover their names with "user".
Please take note that Wikiquote also gets random vandalism and gets spambots from time to time. Please read the notes here carefully.
