Oldest revisions (by revision id)
These are the 10 oldest edits currently residing in the revision database. It appears the first 5 edits are no longer in the revision database. There's a number of things that could have happened to them, a few guesses:
- Lost in time through migrations (export/import maybe)
- Removed by a developer in 2004 (perhaps some edits were test edits by a Wikipedia technician from before the wiki was public)
- Deleted by a sysop (wiki-admin), which means they are archived and still available through Undelete.

Main namespace (without Main Page)
Oldest article in the revision database (not including the Main Page) is the creation of page বাংলা ভাষা on 2004-05-24 19:42:29 (creation, not revision, since rev_parent_id is 0 and there is no entry in the archive).
The reason for the high page id (608) is due to the many temporary "pages" created by the software update for the interface messages, between the creation of the wiki and the creation of this (first) article.

Oldest revisions (by timestamp)
The Bangali Wikipedia never had an incubator so there were no imported edits from another wiki. As a result, this query shows no new edits that were made before the "oldest revisions by revision id". Various software updates which all had their timestamp set to 20040129142451. And there are 2 edits that appear to have come from Microsoft-owned IP-addresses that created statistics pages ("User:!Popular articles", "User:!Short articles") in the User namespace (more "User:!"-style statistics pages).

Oldest archive
The archive has no id, only timestamp. The archive is where pages and revisions go when a wiki administrator (sysop) deletes them. They can probably be restored today by a bn.wikipedia.org administrator.

Oldest log entries
The logging feature of the software (mw:Manual:Logging table) wasn't introduced until MediaWiki 1.4 (in 2005). Before that special actions were logged manually in pages, so if there were any such actions logged, they would have shown up in the the revision tables above.
Request for creation
The "newprojects" notification list wasn't created until 2010 (archive).
The Proposals for new projects page was first drafted in July 2004 (history), as was the Requests for new languages page (history).

This is the date of the oldest revision that is still visible on the site today.
Revision #6, an edit by 212.100.178.141 on 2004-01-27 16:45:54 (UTC) to bn:প্রধান পাতা. That page has been renamed at least twice (HomePage and Main Page). But neither rename was done through the special "rename" feature (probably because that didn't exist yet). The history of Main Page has been merged into "প্রধান পাতা" (bn:Special:Log/প্রধান পাতা). The history of "HomePage" was not, because that history (along with 3 revisions of "Main Page") were deleted a long time ago (see Oldest archive). They could still be undeleted and merged. Be careful though as I have no idea whether that will work, you may want to ask a Wikimedia developer to do it in the database for you – to avoid having to rename or delete your current main page temporarily.

Terminology
- Timestamp
- All timestamps below are in UTC (GMT +00:00) in the format YYYY-MM-DD HH:II:SS. So 20130925072847 is 25 September 2013, 08:28:47 UTC. Depending on where you are, be sure to account for the timezone difference. The language is mainly spoken in Bangladesh and West Bengal (India). These two locations have different timezones (UTC +06:00 and UTC +05:30).
- Revision id
- An automatically assigned number that always increases for each edit by 1. There is no way to influence this number, and it started at 1. So regardless of whether an edit is deleted, that ID will not be re-used for another edit.
- Revision timestamp
- The time the edit was made at. Although there is generally no way to "fake" this (it is determined server-side, not on the user's computer), when importing edits from another wiki you can import edits with a relatively old revision timestamp, even though those (imported) edits will be assigned fresh revision ids.
