Hey there! My name is Maria (she/her).
If not glued to the screen, I love spending my time getting my hands dirty on my pottery wheel while listening to music for plants.
My work
I joined Wikimedia Deutschland in 2022. Here I work as a Program Manager within its software department, where I work to strengthen collaboration and alignment across complex, multi‑stakeholder software initiatives. My approach is grounded in transparency, clear communication, and a commitment to building processes that help teams focus on what matters most. Before taking on my current role, I managed the Software Collaboration for Wikidata project, supporting partnerships and capacity building with communities around the world.
Throughout my career, my work has always lived at the intersection of people and technology: from arts and technology, to education and technology, to civic engagement and technology. Being part of the Wikimedia Movement allows me to continue exploring how open, collaborative technology can empower communities and broaden access to knowledge.
