Hello! From my experience developing similar tools, it can be easily solved by parsing the 'edit' link instead of the section title. Maybe DR is aware of this problem as well? Tool for tracking script updates

I’m sharing a small Toolforge project that might be relevant as you work with user scripts and gadgets regularly.

WikiScriptSync helps track changes to .js and .css files hosted on GitHub or GitLab and sends a notification when updates are detected. It does not make any edits on-wiki, it only helps you stay aware of changes, and stay updated with the latest version.

Yes indeed,

The main author is a young academic from Sudan unfamiliar with Wikimedia writing style. Their field linguistic in conflict areas relies on open source and crowd-sourced Lingua Libre, a Wikimedia tool. There is something interesting to Wikimedia community, yes, but I will need to mentor them for a bit. Work is ongoing, more to come. Thanks for the encouragements.
