User talk:Blake C

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Hello Blake C. I see that you added eleven requests for new languages, all with your own name marked as a native speaker. Note that the proposer is expected to participate in the discussion, the translation of the interface, and the project itself when it is created. Therefore, could you confirm that you are truly native in eleven different languages, and have the time and determination to discuss eleven requests, translate eleven MediaWiki interfaces, and regularly contribute to eleven wikis? —{admin} Pathoschild 17:09:38, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

I am proposing Ethiopian language Wikipedias. --Blake C 01:40, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I am aware of that. However, such requests will not succeed if there is no community to edit them. Could you please answer my above question? —{admin} Pathoschild 03:07:37, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
The point is that in each of the eleven cases, you have identified yourself as both proponent and native speaker (this is the meaning of NP. It sounds quite unlikely that someone has eleven native languages. --Johannes Rohr 20:56, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
