The previous version looked like rubbish, probably due to the server problems Wikimedia had last night. Wutsje 13:31, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

NP -- I have now been bold and editted the essay down to a more rational (I trust) version without gratuitous iterations of a word for the mere sake of using the word. en-wiki deleted one of the more vulgar redirects, likely as a result of me pointing it out on a public page. Thanks! Collect 13:43, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is not en.wiki. Please leave the spirit and style of Don't be a dick as it's always been. Thank you, Nemo 22:31, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
This is still a wiki, and editors are free to edit. Unless of course this is no longer a wiki? Collect 22:49, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Minor copyedit"[edit]

I'll review edits later, but in the meanwhile please avoid misleading summaries like this (btw, cf. w:en:Wikipedia:Edit_summary_legend#Copy_edit). They're very annoying and may be considered an abuse of the edit summary. --Nemo 06:34, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It is, indeed, a minor copyedit in my opinion and was properly summarized. Collect 13:03, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Slow down[edit]

I warmly advise you to slow down: reverts like this are not constructive. I've always explained every action, so you might have waited 7 minutes in good faith for a talk message which expanded and clarified my edit summary. ;-) I take this opportunity to reiterate the warning above and to suggest you to use the edit summary to explain not only what you (really) did but also why you think it's better (which is what I call "a reason"). Slow down? Edits over a period of months are reverted in minutes - and you say "slow down" instead of simply discussing each edit on the article talk page? I think I am in a Serling drama here. A reason to think better English is better than worse English? A reason why polite language is better than crude and sexual language? Um -- I am now positive Rod is watching! Cheers. I realy don´t care about that page, but it´s just boring to see the same people coming up in a edit war. Therefore i protected it. Cheers. --WizardOfOz talk 20:37, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You might note that several people made changes over an extended period of time - one person simply reverted them all - in a flash without so much as a "by your leave" on the essay talk page. . One edit to rule them all, and in the process, bind them. Cheers. Collect 21:17, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Don't be a jerk[edit]

Please see my advice on how to improve the essay. --Michaeldsuarez (talk) 15:15, 22 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
