Update to use new XTools gadget[edit]

This script will soon break when we retire the old XTools. There is a new script, though! Please update this one to source the new one:

mw.loader.load('//www.mediawiki.org/w/index.php?title=XTools/ArticleInfo.js&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript');

More at Special:Permalink/17168298#XTools ArticleInfo gadget. Thanks — MusikAnimal talk 01:28, 6 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@MusikAnimal: I feel a bit unease to edit @Hedonil's page. However if he's been contacted about this and he ain't responding, that might change my feeling; or in case there's a pressing need. Looking forward on your reply. Best regards, —MarcoAurelio (talk) 11:09, 14 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
What about a script that instead prints a message to users such as "you're using an outdated, non-working and non-supported version of XTools, please follow the instructions to update"-like message? —MarcoAurelio (talk) 11:11, 14 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@MarcoAurelio: We've been trying to get a hold of Hedonil for years :( We can make it print a message as you suggest, but that would also require editing his JS, no? If possible it would be good to simply automatically provide a working version. His code of course still lives in the revision history, so it is not lost :) — MusikAnimal talk 17:21, 14 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Done. —MarcoAurelio (talk) 12:36, 15 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
