Hello Mxn, are you going to update this page and to keep it up to date in the future? Otherwise I would like to propose closing and archiving this page. I will be happy to hear from you. Best regards --Marbot 21:53, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
Www.wiktionary.org portal and Sesotho
Would you please fix the wikt link for Sesotho, the page name is missing.
The link should be Sesotho thanks!
Oh, and if you see it written "seSotho" anywhere, this is not correct. (This style isn't used for the Sotho languages the way it is used for e.g. isiZulu) Robert Ullmann 04:52, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
Looks fantastic! Nice work!
I thought it was funny that vi.wikt is bigger than vi.wp... why do you think it is so much more popular?
cheers, pfctdayelise 06:32, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
- Wow, I hadn't seen that front page comparison before. Interesting!
- BTW, on VI.wikt I noticed a lot of orange-background headings - is it part of the default CSS or something? --pfctdayelise 08:39, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
- Also, you should offer to write for the Wikipedia Signpost (and foundation-l) about the Vietnamese projects. It would be very interesting! :) (They used to have a series on non-English projects, volunteers to write articles might have dried up.) For example the stuff about the free dictionary. I had no idea. And I noticed there are like 6 language options on the sidebar on VI.wikt. Some brief info about the different standards and if they have caused problems, something like that, would be really interesting I think. pfctdayelise 08:44, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the links. Yes, I was thinking to do a comparison for search results and special:upload messages too (I am interested in that because of Commons. FR.wp has a very snazzy special:upload now, which reportedly halved their uploads by directing a lot more to Commons. I think that's fantastic). I didn't think of the copyright notice, that's a good one.
- Thanks for the Embassy link, that's really useful. When I have finished the comparisons (well, maybe the top 200...) maybe I will mass-email the Ambassadors. I hope they all have email enabled. :) I will take some screenshots too, I found out which tool Eric used for the main page gallery, it's really good. --pfctdayelise 06:30, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
- PS> see now Cross-project comparisons :) pfctdayelise 07:16, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Re: Www.wikipedia.org template
- See User talk:MZMcBride.
I don't use IE, but there have reports on the en.wiki en:Talk:Main Page about issues where the horizontal scrollbar reaches far too wide in IE (5 and 6, I believe). The current system needs to be re-worked; IE users make up a significant userbase and the main page is highly visible. I apologize for not testing the changes first; 1100% looked like a simple typo that would fix the issue. When you talked about re-working the "template," did you mean re-working the code to be more effective or redesigning it? I could probably help with fixing the code (or find someone to). Let me know. Cheers. --MZMcBride 19:38, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

List of Wikipedias
There is a discussion you may have an interest on Meta:Babel. There is an objection to add 100K+ almost-substub only projects regarding of bad public relation. Please give a look and if possible, give your opinion. Cheers, --Aphaia 08:56, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
List of Wikipedias by sample of articles (answer)

- I have a script which I can make public (perhaps here?). Note that it is not an online, automatic script like Mutante's; it's a plain python script which sits on my laptop and which I manually run every time I want results. It's also quite slow -- it takes about 25-30 minutes to get the results for one Wikipedia, so I have to let it run for two or three hours to get five or six more Wikipedias in the table -- and that's why I'm not done yet, only 150 out of 243; it'll probably take me a week or so. Should I publish the source code here? (Note also that there are some suggestions in the talk page of the List of Wikipedias by sample of articles that I'd like to implement -- I'll probably change the script after I'm done with all Wikipedias and then run it again after a couple of months.) --Smeira 14:49, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

Yes, I tend to like Volapük variable names... it's a pity I can't use diacritics; so pükavödem ends up as pukavodem. Maybe someday someone will develop a version of python in Volapük... :^)

Thanks for the link to Python 3.0! I'll try to have a look at it when I find some time (judging by current commitments, at some point between New Year's eve and when hell freezes over...) --Smeira 09:56, 14 December 2007 (UTC)

Hello, please set http://lt.wiktionary.org from 1.000 to 10.000 entries on Www.wiktionary.org portal, thanks --Vpovilaitis apt. 16:06, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
