Yes I had discovered my being a "Guinea pig" some time ago,when I tried to address the problem I was met with usually a mixture of confusion, silence,hostility, threats, usually the only way to get any relief was to "play dead" or diagnose the problem, then attempt to reinforce and build apon/create novel defensives,open source projects had given me alot of concepts to pack in,though my  experience isn't ideal, my hope is that eventually through perseverance, advocacy and diplomacy,at some point their will be enough resources, research and skilled workers to properly manage the supply chains in a less burdensome,user friendly way. OpenRefine and SDC updates: user survey and monthly office hours

OpenRefine is running a short survey to learn about user needs and expectations for its new SDC features. If you upload files to Wikimedia Commons and/or edit structured data there, please help by filling in this survey!

Monthly OpenRefine and Wikimedia office hours

OpenRefine's community meetup of February 22 was very well attended. You can see its recording, slides and notes here. The team now hosts monthly, informal office hours for Wikimedians (online, via Zoom). Upcoming office hours are:

• Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 4PM UTC (how late is this in my timezone?)

My name is Joris Darlington Quarshie, and I am an Outreach Facilitator for the Capacity Exchange (CapX) — a platform for finding and connecting with peers to exchange knowledge and skills on a global level.

CapX is a community-built tool, designed by and for the Wikimedia Movement, to make it easier for Wikimedians across the world to find and connect, collaborate, and exchange skills and knowledge with peers.

Together with Language Diversity Hub, the Capacity Exchange (CapX) team will host its first Translation Marathon dedicated to ensuring linguistic equity in access to this amazing tool aimed to connect Wikimedians.
If you enjoy contributing to Wikimedia projects through translating and adapting content into different languages, this event is for you! Join us in the celebration of the multilingual spirit of the Wikimedia Movement at an event where communities that contribute in diverse languages will be able to share local knowledge and collaborate across borders.
