Interesting restorative justice practice background[edit]
Hi! I noticed you listed background in restorative justice practice and I am interested in how that approach can or can not work in online (especially Wikimedia) spaces where many of the participants are anonymous. - Zblace: Thanks for the message, I think there are definitely elements of restorative justice that can be applied to online communities. My background focuses on the impact of crime on community but I believe harm of any kind can impact and shape any community. I will definitely share updates if I explore this topic in the future. - SRamkisson (WMF) thanks! My impression (with limited experience) is that it is possible to facilitate basic mediation and some corrective 'compensation' actions if harassment (for example) was done by individual who is eager to keep its account (so not IP users or recently started but those that accumulated some credibility and social capital in community) and therefore willing to go through a process that could function on the model of restorative justice. I am also beginning to believe that certain type of psychological profiles are more prone to over-identify with the project like Wikimedia and commit offenses as a certain behavioral pattern (especially if neuro-diverging from norms). Anyway maybe something to be explored in future. -- Zblace (talk) 18:42, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
We need your feedback on a tool from the Wikimedia Summit[edit]
Hi! I'm contacting you as one of the participants in the Wikimedia Summit 2022, to kindly ask for your feedback through a 5-10 minute survey to evaluate 'Baserow' (note: the survey is on a Google form).
Baserow was a tool through which participants in the Summit co-created a database of Movement Strategy activities. We hope to learn from you how useful it may be to keep using it in the future to help document and connect on Movement Strategy work.
