Hi, Martin- I took somewhat of a hiatus from the project and have only been tinkering with it lately, but am still eager to roll it out and have several immediately useful featurs already in place. I'd like to talk about it with Eric and you to see if we can at least get a test environment up. Can you email me (same username as on my Wikimedia accounts @ gmail.com ) ?

Hackathon[edit]

Hi Martin

Is the 4 full days a hard requirement or can it be a soft requirement ? Adding 4 days to the full Wikimania with travel on top means a nearly 2 weeks away time for I. Which is too much (in particular family-wise). At the personal level, I am also not sure what I would actually do during 4 days (which is quite long for a non dev to be at a hackathon...). I doubt not you guys can fill up the time, but without a program... I am a bit hesitant. Would that make sense for me to come for 1 day ? 2 days ? Any feedback welcome; Anthere (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 07:28, 23 June 2017 (UTC).[reply]

@Anthere:We're trying to get people to stay for 4 days, but inevitably some have to go after 2 or 3 days. The programmers are typically staying the full time, but a few of the people who work on distribution and delivery are leaving earlier. I think it would definitely be worthwhile to come even for a couple of days; we have some good people coming. (BTW, I would recommend looking at flights by Air Transat, we've often used their cheap flights between Montreal and several French cities.) If you can come, please let me know ASAP if you want to stay in student housing (cheaper & closer, but ends Thursday morning) or a hotel/motel. Thanks! hi. I am planning to join you guys the first 2 days. I asked for a plane returning from Montreal to home on the 16th (any insight on how I get back to Montreal from Potsdam is welcome...). As such I'll need a dorm room (if you have another woman to share it with, I'll be happy to be with her. Otherwise, alone) on the 14th and 15th. Cheers Anthere (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 21:31, 26 June 2017 (UTC).[reply]
We'll give you a lift to the railway station in Cornwall, Ontario, so you can take a train to Montreal airport - it's very easy as long as it's not too early in the morning. What time does your flight depart from Montreal on the 16th? Meanwhile, I'll ask about housing. Cheers, Walkerma (talk) 20:26, 28 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
