Hi, Andrew. I was wondering to what extent we have to pledge support to the Wikimendia Foundation in our bylaws. We had originally had our bylaws say that we would promote the causes of the Foundation and help organize its affairs, but User:Anders Wennersten told us that this would not pass and that we should have our bylaws disassociate ourselves from the main Foundation. Is there any minimum pledge to the Foundation required, or should our bylaws say that we are completely going at it alone? --Arctic.gnome 05:54, 23 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Logo D

[edit]

I was wondering if you could take a look at Wikibooks/Logo/Proposal/D and take some action in regards to what looks like obvious copyright infringement. My efforts the last couple days to delete the offending images have not been received well as I am an open advocate and creator of other competing logos. I really appreciate you efforts of late in keeping the logo process running smoothly. --Ezra Katz 17:18, 27 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Question removed

[edit]

I did it myself, because it's bad to have candidates reply and then remove it. See my edit summary. Thanks, Daniel (talk) 04:08, 2 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

† Wikibooks Logos deleted †

[edit]

I am very unhappy to announce to you that: THE BEST BEST WIKIBOOKS LOGO PROPOSAL OF GROUP D (7.5 and 8.2) HAVE BEN DELETED FOR BEING "DERIVATIVE WORKS" OF A COPYVIOL. While so as to 7.5 I had some doubts, because its structure was - not "coufoundable" with the library logo - still somehow similar to it. But I felt upset when I saw that also 8.2 (which was COMPLETELY different) had been deleted. It's not a "derivative work": it's completely originally done by Ezra Katz. If my proposal wasn't legally OK, Ezra's one SURELY was. And - since it had been voted as much (or more) as mine - it would have problably become the new Wikibooks logo. But now, what an awful situation... I don't know what to do. -- RaminusFalcon «…» («it.wikipedia») 13:47, 9 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi Andrew, Could you help with this query? Thanks AndrewRT 23:08, 18 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for uploading File:Wikibooks simple book green3.svg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at this page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Jusjih 10:28, 18 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
