Volunteering with the Wikimedia Movement
The success of Wikimedia relies on an enormous community of people with a wide diversity of skills, interests and perspectives. Members of the Wikimedia community, including Wikimedia Foundation Staff are interested in exploring how to improve the experience of becoming engaged with Wikimedia projects and to create new types of opportunities and roles in which more people can become involved with the movement.
Volunteer..Editor..Contributor..What's in a Name
Not all of the people who help Wikimedia consider identify as a volunteer. There may be some who actually do a lot of work within projects that don't consider themselves affiliated at all. How important is identity in recruiting, engaging and supporting a vibrant successful community?
