WPWA IG COMMUNITY

Igbo Community WPWA Contest will focus on uploading audio sounds on the Wikicommons page and linking these sounds to their various articles on the WikiData, Wiktionary, and Wikipedia pages. It is observed that some of the Igbo-related contents on these Wiki projects have little or no audio files attached to them; hence the essence of these projects. Furthermore, based on proper observation it is noticed that non-Igbo speakers tend to mispronounce certain words/names on the wiki pages as a result of lack of proper documentation on pronunciation. Goals[edit]

To train Wikimedians on the processes of uploading audio files to Wikimedia Commons and linking them to Wiktionary, WikiData and Wikipedia projects.
To achieve the goal of Wikisound Audio Speaks Campaign of uploading 1,000,000,000 audio files before the end of 2030 in different languages.
To increase the number of editors engaged in uploading audio files to Wikicommons page and linking them to their Wiktionary, Wikidata and Wikipedia pages.
