[edit]A research study is being conducted on the effectiveness of Wikipedia as a platform of learning. It is a program with graduate degree students. It is conducted at Women's Govt College, Udupi, Karnataka. Students learn to edit, write articles, features like templates in Wikipedia and a bit of Wikidata and using queries. The idea is to test the effectiveness of Wikipedia in education as a platform of improving the cognitive ability among students. Cognitive skills tests are given in the beginning, at mid-term and at the end of the program to assess the cognitive skills of the students. In this session, the results at mid-term will be presented.
