What is your idea?

The goal of WikiChecks is to help improve the credibility, readability and authenticity of information on Wikipedia.

In the academic sphere, Wikipedia is not believed to be a reliable source for vital information. The idea of this project is to help complement the #1LIb1Ref bi-annual campaign to vet existing information.

The goal is to train new editors and to also empower experienced Wikipedian to the Wiki Fact Checkers.

Why is it important?

It is important because many articles on Wikipedia are not credible enough for consumption of an average individuals, my point here is cogent due to a Nigeria average individual approached recently who isn't Interested in using wikipedia to read Nigerian articles, because it isn't well stationed (lack proper spellings, without infoboxes, the use of gargantuan grammars, etc). And this project is focusing on improving the credibility, readability and authenticity of Nigeria informations on Wikipedia.
