The Dagbani Wikimedians User Group

1. Will set up the Wikibase cloud service for the College of Science Library at KNUST, with technical support from Wikimedia Deutschland. The project will also have the support of Dr. Omorodion Okuonghae, a senior librarian from Nigeria and coordinator of the Wikibase in the Nigerian Libraries Project. Overall, the project will offer:
2. Technical Design and Development: We will design and develop the technical infrastructure for the Wikibase Cloud, including the database schema, the data model, and the user interface.
3. Linked with other databases: We will link the Wikibase Cloud with other open databases, such as the library's OPAC and Wikidata. This will ensure that the data in the Wikibase Cloud is easily accessible and usable by the library user.
4. User Support: We will provide support to the library staff and other stakeholders who will be using the Wikibase Cloud.
5. Collaboration with the Library: We will work closely with the College of Science Library to ensure that the Wikibase Cloud meets their needs and supports their operations.

College of Science Library, KNUST

By working together, the library and our team will be able to create a robust and effective Wikibase cloud that supports the library's operations and meets the needs of its users. The library's collaboration will be vital in several key areas, including

1. Data Collection and Management: The library will be responsible for providing the bibliographic data to enable us to create an initial database of at least 500 items on the Wikibase cloud. Our team, with support from the college library, will ensure that the data model is properly defined and created on the Wikibase cloud.
2. Data Control: The library will be the owner of the Wikibase cloud service and will have full control and administrator access to the platform. They will ensure the data provided is openly licensed and free to use. Our team will work with the college library to ensure that the library’s terms of data usage are properly integrated into the Wikibase Cloud.
3. User Training and Support: The college library and our team will provide training and support to library staff and users. Our team will work with the college library to develop and deliver training and support materials that are appropriate for the library's needs.
4. Stakeholder Engagement: The library will be responsible for engaging with its users, including researchers, to promote the use of the Wikibase Cloud and encourage their participation in the data management process.
