Discussion[edit]

Wikikids go! Is for 6 and up and Nukids go! Is Coming soon.

How is this needed when Wikijunior, Vikidia, and Simple English Wikipedia already exist? —Justin (koavf)TCM 19:04, 5 May 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]

  • Hold up. There needs to be a simple English version? This would be a platform for children so simpler language would be used by default. Zhangj1079 (talk) 03:18, 6 November 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]

comment- Well, there are alot of proposals in this kind of topic, Even if we started this, do you think that young kids would be active in a wiki with the developing video games? And also, interested participants isn't just a word of your own... we won't buy that 10000 kids and 10000 parents are willing to support this...ArepTicous talkcontribs 14:57, 4 May 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

  • Oppose Oppose I think there is some potential for a wiki geared towards children but this isn't well thought out. I also don't think children as young as 6 should be editing and participating in a wiki. Rubbish computer (Talk: Contribs) 13:36, 21 October 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]
  • Support SupportI have submitted similar project on meta.wikimedia.org , I believe our kids need this project Omda4wady (talk) 07:58, 20 January 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
  • Please add Arabic language to the Project Omda4wady (talk) 08:00, 20 January 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
  • Oppose Oppose - Children who are 6 or younger may make spelling and grammar errors, we already have the Simple English Wikipedia, but is geared for children. Arthurfan828 (talk) 22:51, 7 April 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
  • Doubt. When I was a teen, I enjoyed my first Children's Encyclopedia. For example, it would be interesting include all surface and volume figures, how to calcule them in a visual way, that in Wikipedia is much complex (for mathematicians?). Layout, pedagogy and simplificity are basic in this children's encyclopedia. The doubt comes that the children can edit. They can read and receive information, but factual accuracy is important. Wikijunior is for Wikibooks. I do not know if Wikikids has the same scope (?). BoldLuis (talk) 23:17, 1 May 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
  • Comment Comment I don't know if I can maintain accuracy when my kids use it. So I'm worried.--Tmv (talk) 01:13, 18 June 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
