Welcome to Wikimania 2006

The second annual Wikimedia Foundation conference

Wikimania 2006, the second annual international Wikimedia conference, will be held from August 4th–6th in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on the Harvard Law School campus. Both a scientific conference and a community event, Wikimania brings together the various Wikimedia projects. It is an opportunity for project communities to meet each other, exchange ideas, and report on research and project work; and a chance for Wikimedians and the general public to meet and share ideas. Wikimania is a gathering for people interested in free and open source software, free knowledge initiatives, and wiki projects worldwide.
