Title: Wikimania 2022 Festival in Esino Lario

Abstract

Wikimania comes back to the small mountain village of Esino Lario in the Alps, above Lake Como in Italy. The Wikimania 2022 Festival in Esino Lario is a chance to renovate friendships and engagement, with a focus on the past and the future. We would like to organize two public sessions (June 13-14, 2-3pm CET) to connect our local festival to the wider international communities, to greet the participants and to record it. The sessions will also present the impact of Wikimania 2016-2022 and on the innovative program of Italy aiming at Empowering Italian GLAMs by inviting all Italian museums in collaborating with the Wikimedia projects. If possible we would like two sessions of 1 hour each in "Movement Groups and Affiliates Tent".
