[edit]

To ensure our message reach all our community members we will:

  • use our WikimediaZA chapter's social media platforms e.g Facebook, LinkedIn, Discord & Zulip
  • send the invite to our chapters mailing list
  • use our database which contains list of contact details for Users who have participated in our outreach activities, meet-ups and edit-a-thons.

the criteria we will use to determine eligibility

[edit]

Our criterion will be based on applicant's

  • Wikimedia Usernames ( whether they have a Wikimedia Username or not)
  • the number of edits,
  • their Gender
  • where they are based in South Africa
  • and motivational statement

This will be done by way of applicants filling a google form.

the processes or services you will use to distribute funds

[edit]

Our staff together with our bookkeepers will:

  • purchase data for applicants
  • purchase small hardware for applicants
  • pay service providers for video/ catering and venue for both Cape Town & Johannesburg
  • send funds directly to members who needs child care [1]

[1] We already have an established system where payment for service providers are done internally by our staff and bookkeepers for better accountability. In this regard, every purchase will be done within the chapter and the only funds that will be send directly to applicants will be child care, but still we need a report from the applicant.
