Summary
The most important thing when organising a successful writing contest is choosing the right topic. Here, we need to take into consideration various parameters such as the interests of the editorship, making a suitable project page with clear rules, choosing the right jury and creating comprehensive promotion on Wikipedia and social networks to gather new participants and achieve greater final results. I will also mention the incentives, that play a significant role in motivating participation. To this end, we will share the Macedonian experience, with two examples: the "Nobel Prize Winners" and the "Byzantine Empire" contests.
