Summary

[edit]

During my adventure as a Wikimedian I have found out that whenever Wikipedians get to meet and talk a very special wiki magic occurs. And while it is easy to see how this works for large conferences the importance and impact of small wiki-meetups can be easily overlooked. I would like to tell you how regularly holding local meetings (even if only for 3 people) can help your community and your projects. I would also like to share with you my experience in organizing and co-organizing local meetings in Poznań (including my favorite wiki-barbecues). And tell you how those small meetings brought big impact for Wikimedia Polska.

  • Wikimedians from different communities will share their experience in organizing or attending small wiki-meetings
