Summary[edit]

The idea is to organize enhanced speed dating as a warm up for the conference. In order to make it fruitful it will be arranged in "challenges vs solutions" competition:

  1. Introduction and table arrangement: 5 min.
    1. The participants will be divided in the number of tables - people who do not know each other should sit together and make some short introduction
  2. Round 1: Challenges: 15 min
    1. There will be one project or type of activity related to Wikimedia projects for each table; it will be announced to each table by organizers as the tables will be arranged.
    2. The participants should think of and write down on big piece of paper all challenges that might cause the problems/spoil the project/activity; after the end of this round papers with challenges should be left on tables.
  3. Round 2: Solutions: 15 min
    1. The participants should leave their tables an go to the other ones, again - try to find the table at which there are many people you don't know.
    2. The participants should think of and write down the possible solutions for challenges to the projects/activities that have on their table.
  4. Round 3: Evaluation: 15 min
    1. The participants should leave their tables an go to the other ones, again - try to find the table at which there are many people you don't know.
    2. The participants should read the challenges and solutions for the projects/activities that have on their table and discuss which solutions does or doesn't might really work.
  5. Round 4: Summary: 5-10 min.
    1. One person in each table makes a 1 min brief of the outcomes of previous 3 rounds.
    2. All people gathered vote which table produced the best/most innovative/funny results.
    3. All people who participated in the winning tables will get symbolic prize (a cake, barnstar etc..) .
