| Abstract:
Microgrant programs are maintained by Wikimedia affiliates in the CEE region, as well as by the Wikimedia Foundation, but we have had few opportunities to talk and reflect on these programs as a whole. The goals of this workshop are: 1) For participants who maintain microgrant programs to share info about their funding programs in terms of purpose, process, and outcomes, 2) To develop ideas on how they can improve or address challenges in their microgrant programs, and 3) To discuss improvements to the Grants page on Meta, which currently contains an outdated list of funding opportunities across the Wikimedia movement. |

| How will this session be beneficial for the communities in the region of CEE?
Participants will learn more about different regional approaches to funding smaller projects and needs in their community, and potentially be able to make improvements to their existing microgrant programs or to consider initiating a small grants programs locally. There will also be better and more accurate coverage of microgrant programs across the CEE Region as a result of improvements to the Grants page on Meta-wiki. | |||
